What is the 7 part structure and how does that work with the Lesson Sets?
The 7 part structure is a systematic approach to teaching 6th graders about a civilization. The structure includes:
Each part is addressed within its own Lesson Set, and then bundled together with a Location Lesson Set to create a full unit. For example,
Lesson Set One: Ancient Egypt Food Supply
Lesson Set Two: Ancient Egypt Government
Lesson Set Three: Ancient Egypt Religion
Lesson Set Four: Ancient Egypt Social Structure
Lesson Set Five: Ancient Egypt Written Language
Lesson Set Six: Ancient Egypt Art
Lesson Set Seven: Ancient Egypt Technology
Lesson Set Eight: Ancient Egypt Location
Together, all of these Lesson Sets allow you to teach all the essential concepts for Ancient Egypt.
The flexibility of the Lesson Sets allow you to go as in depth as you deem appropriate for your students.
Some units do not lend themselves to this structure easily - like Prehistory - and so they are organized by the overarching concepts of the unit.

Do the Interactive Student Notebook or Digital Notebook activities come with the Lesson Set Bundle?
The Lesson Set Bundle DOES come with a notebook foldable and a digital notebook page with each lesson - and it directly aligns with the powerpoint and reading passage for student note-taking.
However, please note that these notebook activities look different from the Notebook Foldable and Digital Notebook bundles (because these ones do not align with any reading passages).

Do the Map Tests come with the Lesson Set Bundle?
The Lesson Set Bundles do NOT come with the Map Tests. But the Map Tests do come in their own money saving bundle.
Do the Lap-book projects come with the Lesson Set Bundle?
The Lesson Set Bundles do NOT come with the Lap-book projects.
How much time per lesson is needed to complete all of the units?
The Lesson Sets are designed to help you teach all the essential concepts for each unit. They are also designed for you to pick and choose which pieces you want to use with your students. That said, I would spend no more than two class days with each lesson set. There’s anywhere from 6-8 Lesson Sets for each unit. So that gives you an estimated 10-14 days of lessons. You can use the rest of the time you have for that unit on projects and such. (You could also use less, of course) The Ancient Civilizations Lesson Set Bundle would give you close to a full year of curriculum.
Does the 7 Unit Lesson Set Bundle include the Back to School First Seven Days Lesson Plans?
To help guide you, the 7 Unit Lesson Set Bundle also includes: Yearly Planning Guide with Checklist, Unit Planning Guide with Checklist, Lesson Planning Guide with Checklist, Student Processing Tasks for Notebooks, Differentiation Strategies for Lesson Sets.
The First Seven Days of School is a separate bundle and includes everything you need to get the school year started. Including editable syllabus, setting up student notebooks, introducing timeline skills, map skills, and more.

A Final Note from Midgley...
I developed these ancient history lesson sets for teaching ancient civilizations in a 6th grade social studies class that align with my 7 part structure. I wanted to give teachers a choice in how to teach each objective.
I also wanted to provide organized and practical materials for teachers who are overwhelmed with ancient history or may not have any materials to work with from their district.
With these ancient history lesson sets, you can teach with confidence and know that you are covering essential concepts.

What Teachers like you have to say...
This resource has saved my life! The consistency, yet variety of the activities has been good for my students who need predictability and consistent expectations of the work they do. But the different options in ways to present the information, or have the students demonstrate their learning keeps it fresh and gives all students a chance to really absorb the content. Thank you for this resource!

This resource has changed the dynamic of my classroom! My students were so tired of our outdated textbooks and that the information was not presented in a clear or easy to understand way. This resource has really helped my students learn about the different civilizations and how they are similar and different. They love that each unit follows a similar structure. It has helped create some routine and predictability in our Social Studies class. Thank you for an amazing resource!

This has been a lifesaver in helping me plan for my students when I've never taught this content before and my school is currently without a SS curriculum. Got this to try it out, but this has prompted me to get the whole bundle!
