Teacher Summer: Recharge & Rejuvenate
While we are often sad to see our darling students head out that door for one last time, there is nothing like the first breath of fresh, summer air that smells like freedom!
I often wonder how teachers can function in a year-long school setting. I find a good summer re-set more than necessary. I will admit to thinking about the next school year during the summer, but not until the end of July. Those first 6 weeks are nothing but teacher summer rejuvenation.
How do you recharge?
Sleeping in, reading a good novel, lunch with friends, binge watching on Netflix... the list goes on and on.
I think it boils down to you as and individual - what you need, what you like, what you enjoy most.
For myself, I spend a lot of time at home and hanging out with my pups. I feel so guilty about leaving them every day to go to school, it seems summer is my time to make it up to them.
